The display has a resolution of 1024x600 pixels and uses a resistive touchscreen. It can be plugged directly onto all Raspberry Pi models, with the exception of the Raspberry Pi 1 and Raspberry Pi Zero/Zero W. These models require an additional HDMI cable. The power supply and the touchscreen are provided via the GPIO interface of the Raspberry Pi, the image signal is transmitted via HDMI. The display supports various operating systems such as Raspbian and Ubuntu.

It can also be used as a screen for other computers if an HDMI cable is used. In this case, however, the touch function is not active. The backlight can be switched off using a switch. A multilingual OSD menu allows the brightness, contrast and other parameters to be set. A 100-level adjustment of the backlight is also supported. Due to its compact size, the display is suitable for installation in housings or devices.

The display is used to show user interfaces, system information or media content on a Raspberry Pi. Thanks to the touch function, it can be used to control applications directly. The monitor is suitable for use in compact projects where space is limited, e.g. in self-built control units or portable information systems. When used with other devices, the monitor can be used as an output unit, but without touch function.
