The Adafruit DIY Ornament Kit is a customised solution for technology-based tree decorations. It is specially designed for use with a Circuit Playground Express and has space for a 500mAh LiPoly battery and decorative materials. With a diameter of 6 cm, it is ideal for creative projects with LEDs and sensors. The Rainbow NeoPixels light up through the decoration and can be customised with diffuse materials.

The integrated sensors for sound, light and temperature are fully functional. By using conductive adhesive tape, the inside of the ornament can be used as a capacitive touch surface. The acceleration sensor enables additional functions such as triggering actions by shaking. The microphone and loudspeaker can also be used, although the sound quality is slightly muffled by the closed sphere.

Light comes into the dark with Adafruit NeoPixel
