This is the FeatherWing power relay. It allows you to switch lamps, fans, solenoid valves and other small devices that are operated with up to 250VAC or DC on and off with any Feather board. Compared to smaller Relay FeatherWings, this device can handle a hefty 1200 watts!

Works with any Feather board, simply wire the relay control pin to any GPIO of your choice! With stacking headers or pin headers, you can connect a FeatherWing to the top of your Feather board and make the board fly

This wing has a non-latching relay. You can switch up to 10A resistive load current at 120VAC, 5A at 240VAC. For inductive loads about half of this. For the exact switching capacity, please refer to the data sheet for the relay, as it depends on the type of load and the type and level of voltage. This relay is well suited for handling fairly large appliances, computers, televisions, small appliances and more.

Each FeatherWing comes with a fully assembled and tested circuit board, a header that you can attach to your Feather. By soldering the jumper on the bottom of the wing, you can choose which pin you want to use for relay control. Some light soldering is required.

Please note: When using with high voltages (> 24V) exercise caution and common sense ! High voltages require experience and may only be used by engineers who are familiar with the guidelines and know how to use them safely!

Light comes into the dark with Adafruit NeoPixel
