Take your next outdoor sensor project to the next level with this SHT-30 based temperature/humidity sensor. The sensor contains a dual-use sensor module from Sensirion in a sintered metal mesh housing. The housing is weatherproof and prevents water from entering and damaging the sensor body, but allows air to pass through so it can measure humidity outside. Whilst it is designed to be immersed in water, it is always best to avoid prolonged immersion (more than 1 hour at a time) and it would of course only provide temperature readings. Our temperature sensors with metal housing would be better suited for this! This sensor is best for simply placing outside to measure outdoor weather.

The SHT30-D sensor has excellent ±2% relative humidity and ±0.5°C accuracy for most applications. Unlike previous SHT sensors, this sensor has a true I2C interface.

The sensor is essentially just a Sensiron SHT-30 digital sensor with the 4 data/power lines coming out, so any SHT-3x code will work for a microcontroller. Check out the tutorial for Arduino and CircuitPython/Python, and more!

The 1 metre long cable has four wires: Brown/Red=VCC (3-5VDC), Black=Ground, Yellow=Clock, Green/Blue=Data (sometimes we hear of sensors where data and clock are reversed, so please try both ways)
