Description
Product information "ELECFREAKS microbit Space Science Kit, Nezha Board, Smart Motor, 8 sensor ports, over 400 components"
The ELECFREAKS micro:bit Space Science Kit is an educational kit for STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) aimed at primary and secondary school pupils. The kit is based on the Nezha Breakout Board V2 platform and uses the PlanetX Smart Brick Motor and various sensors from the PlanetX series. With the help of a scenario-based plan for the moon landing, a variety of plastic components and an interactive map, projects such as moon vehicles, rockets or space probes can be built and simulated. The enclosed map serves as the basis for exploratory tasks along space missions, such as "Lunar Entry Orbit" or "Mission On the Moon".
The kit includes a colour recognition system that allows sensors to be connected correctly using coloured markings. A new physical toggle switch provides more direct control. An anti-reverse polarity RJ11 interface reduces the risk of faulty connections. For status indication, the number of LED indicators has been increased to four, providing a clearer indication of the device's charge status. The kit has eight sensor outputs and four motor outputs. It is possible to control the motor independently of a micro:bit board. The built-in smart motor is a new development from ELECFREAKS, offers high precision and torque and is designed for educational applications. An integrated high-performance battery enables a running time of up to four hours when fully charged. The charging time is around 50 minutes.
The micro:bit Space Science Kit was designed for conducting experiments related to space topics. Typical applications are the construction of a rocket launcher, a lander or a vehicle for lunar research. The components enable both mechanical constructions and sensor-based programming. The kit can be controlled programmatically using MakeCode or Python. The sensors included in the kit cover various measurement ranges, including soil moisture, UV intensity, temperature and humidity. Additional modules such as an OLED display, WiFi module and a two-channel line tracking module extend the range of functions. A poster with mission paths serves as the basis for creative tasks and teaching scenarios.
The kit is used to implement space projects in the education sector. It allows the construction of functional models whose movements, sensor functions and communication paths can be programmed and observed. The modular structure makes it easier to understand physical, technical and IT concepts. The included components are harmonised with each other and enable different levels of difficulty in the application. Tasks can be contextualised using the card system provided, which supports the structuring of learning scenarios.
