The RM2 Wireless Module adds 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth connectivity to Yukon projects. It is based on the same two-in-one wireless and Bluetooth module that is also integrated in the Raspberry Pi Pico W and Pico 2 W. The module is specifically designed for use with Pimoroni Yukon and is ideal for adding wireless communication to high performance projects.
The RM2 Wireless Module enables wireless communication with online APIs, controllers and other devices. It supports the IEEE 802.11 b/g/n standard for wireless LAN and Bluetooth. The functionality can be set up via user-defined pins in MicroPython, but this is not yet fully supported by the official MicroPython version.
A customised MicroPython version is available for use with Yukon, with which wireless connections can be used via the RM2 module. This version is experimental and minimally documented, so changes are possible. The module must be installed in slot 5 of Yukon to function properly.

In general, the installation is uncomplicated and should not take more than two minutes. While the fan is doing its job, the noise level is very low: The maximum value is only 18.6 dB.
