Product information "seeed 4-channel SPDT relay HAT for Raspberry Pi "

seeed 4-channel SPDT Relay HAT for Raspberry Pi
The 4-channel SPDT Relay HAT for Raspberry Pi uses four high-quality SPDT (Single Pole - Double Throw) relays and provides NO/NC (Normally Open/ Normally Closed) interfaces that can control the load of high current. This means that it can be a good solution for controlling devices that cannot be controlled directly via the I2C bus. The standardised shield form factor allows for a smooth connection with the Raspberry Pi and it also has four LED indicators that show the on/off status of each relay.

Features at a glance
  • Supports Raspberry Pi 1/2/3/4
  • Easy connection through relay screw terminals
  • LED indicators to visualise the working status of each relay
  • I2C interface with three hardware SW1 (1, 2, 3) to define the fixed I2C bus address
  • High-quality SPDT (Single Pole - Double Throw) relays
  • conventional shield design
  • COM, NO (Normally Open), and NC (Normally Closed) relay pins for each relay

Safety instructions
  • Only use the relay with the recommended operating voltage and within the specified current carrying capacity.
  • Avoid contact with water, moisture or other conductive liquids to prevent electrical short circuits.
  • Switch off the power supply before installing, connecting or servicing the relay.
  • Ensure that no wires or components are exposed to prevent electric shock or short circuits.
  • Never work on the device while it is operating with mains voltage.
  • The relay can switch electrical loads; be careful not to exceed the load to avoid overheating or damage to the product.
  • Ensure that the relay is correctly insulated if it is used in an environment with high voltages.
  • Dispose of the device in accordance with local regulations for electronic waste. Remove any batteries or rechargeable batteries that are not permanently installed before disposal.
  • Have defective relays checked and disposed of by a specialised company to rule out electrical hazards.
  • Do not use the relay to switch safety-critical or vital applications unless this has been explicitly specified.
