Description
Product information "seeed Grove - 3-Axis Analogue Accelerometer ±3g (ADXL335)"
Seeed Grove - 3-Axis Analogue Accelerometer ±3g (ADXL335)
The Grove - 3-Axis Analogue Accelerometer (ADXL335) is an analogue accelerometer module with low power consumption. It is based on the ADXL335, a three-axis MEMS accelerometer with a typical current consumption of 150 μA in measurement mode. The module measures accelerations with a full range of ±3 g on all three axes (X, Y, Z). It is suitable for detecting both static acceleration due to gravity (e.g. for tilt detection) and dynamic acceleration due to movement, shock or vibration.
The module is designed as a breakout board of the ADXL335 and has a Grove connector that enables easy connection to Arduino platforms without soldering. The integrated signal path provides voltage-conditioned analogue outputs that can be read directly by microcontrollers. The module is housed in a small, flat housing with dimensions of 4 × 4 × 1.45 mm (LFCSP).
The sensor is suitable for applications in motion detection, shock detection and vibration monitoring. It is also used in toy vehicles, robotics projects or other mobile electronic systems where precise motion detection is required. The analogue signal outputs allow continuous measurement of acceleration in three spatial directions.
