Seeed Grove - 3-Axis Digital Accelerometer (LIS3DHTR)
The Grove - 3-Axis Digital Accelerometer (LIS3DHTR) is a linear accelerometer module with three axes. It is based on the LIS3DHTR chip from STMicroelectronics, which offers high performance with very low power consumption. The module supports several selectable measurement ranges of ±2 g, ±4 g, ±8 g and ±16 g as well as a variety of interface options such as I2C, SPI and ADC (GPIO).

To improve measurement accuracy, the sensor includes an integrated temperature sensor that can compensate for temperature deviations. The acceleration data is output at selectable data rates between 1 Hz and 5.3 kHz. An interrupt pin is also available to react to external events. The SPI operating mode is activated when the CS pin is connected to GND. The I2C address is set to 0x19 by default and can be changed to 0x18 by connecting the SDO pin to GND.

The sensor is suitable for applications such as drop or motion detection, vibration measurement, shock detection and for use in input devices for games or virtual reality. It is also suitable for energy-saving devices such as pedometers thanks to its energy-saving modes. Thanks to its compact design, the Grove connector system and the choice of several communication interfaces, the module can be flexibly integrated into various systems.

The module measures acceleration along the X, Y and Z axes and offers adjustable measuring ranges and output rates. It can be connected via I2C, SPI or ADC. The power supply is 3.3 V or 5 V. The compact size and support functions such as temperature compensation and interrupt output make the module suitable for a wide range of applications in sensor technology.
