Product information "seeed Grove - 4-channel SPDT relay module"

Seeed Grove - 4-Channel SPDT Relay
The Grove - 4-Channel SPDT Relay Module has four independent SPDT relays (Single Pole Double Throw). These relays allow switching between two output lines per channel and can be operated with low voltage and low current control signals. The switching contacts allow the control of loads up to 250 V AC or 110 V DC with a nominal load of 10 A. They are controlled via an I2C interface. The I2C address can be configured to enable the parallel use of several relay modules.

The integrated plastic casing is heat-resistant. The four relays can be operated with a supply voltage of 5 V. Each relay is based on an SPDT switching principle that connects a line to one of two possible contacts. This makes the module suitable for applications with switching logic, for example for controlling devices, signal paths or power supply units.

Typical applications include household appliances, office electronics, televisions, monitors, audio devices and applications with high inrush currents. The current consumption of the relays is 89.3 mA, the power consumption is around 0.45 W. The maximum switching frequency is 30 switching cycles per minute. The connection terminals for the load are designed as green 3-pin DIP screw terminals.

The module can be used with microcontroller platforms such as Arduino or Raspberry Pi to switch AC or DC loads via a digital signal. Thanks to the configurable I2C address (0x00 to 0x7F), up to 128 devices can be addressed. Delivery includes acrylic housing, Grove cable and mounting material.
