Seeed Grove - 6-Axis Accelerometer & Gyroscope
The Grove - 6-Axis Accelerometer & Gyroscope is a module with digital output that combines a three-axis accelerometer and a three-axis gyroscope. It is based on the energy-saving LSM6DS3 digital chip and contains an integrated voltage regulator for a stable power supply. The module can be connected via a Grove interface and provides motion data with six degrees of freedom (6 DOF). The sensitivity of the accelerometer and the angular velocity can be configured in different levels.
The module supports linear acceleration measurement in four adjustable ranges (±2 g, ±4 g, ±8 g, ±16 g) and angular velocity measurement in five ranges (±125, ±245, ±500, ±1000, ±2000 dps). In addition, programmable interrupts are available for various events. The integrated buffer comprises 8 kByte for intermediate storage of sensor data. The current consumption is 0.9 mA in combined normal mode and 1.25 mA in high-performance mode at sampling rates of up to 1.6 kHz.
The module is suitable for applications in the fields of inclination measurement, motion detection, tap sensing, robotics and the consumer sector. Typical areas of application include robotic systems, wearables, IoT devices and motion detection systems. The SDKs provided enable quick integration into your own projects.
The selected measuring ranges enable flexible adaptation to different motion profiles. Digital communication via the Grove interface simplifies integration into existing systems.
