The Grove - RGB LED matrix with driver from Seeed is based on 64 KTR-3528RGB LEDs and forms an 8x8 RGB LED matrix. This matrix can be fully controlled by simple programming. This matrix can be used to create numerous light patterns and visual effects and display customised designs. The integrated MCU, which is based on the STM32F103, provides a stable supply voltage of 3.3V via the MP-2155 DC-DC chip. The LEDs are controlled via the MY9221 LED driver chip. The matrix supports a full RGB colour palette with 255 colours per pixel, enabling a wide range of display options. The product has a Grove-compatible socket that allows easy connection via a single cable.
This LED matrix is suitable for simple image displays and the development of visual applications, such as in light-based toys. Thanks to the integrated Grove system, the matrix can be easily integrated into existing DIY, maker or IoT projects.
