Seeed Grove Base Shield V2.0 for Arduino
The Grove Base Shield V2.0 provides an easy way to connect Arduino boards to Grove modules and replaces the use of breadboards and jumper cables. It has 16 integrated Grove connections, including 4 analogue, 7 digital, 1 UART and 4 I2C connections. The board also features an RST button, a green LED to indicate the operating status, an ICSP connection, a switch for voltage selection and four rows of pinouts. The layout of the Base Shield V2 corresponds to that of the Arduino Uno R3.

The power supply is provided by an integrated switch that can be switched between 3.3 V and 5 V. This allows adaptation to the requirements of different microcontroller platforms. Compatibility is guaranteed with a wide range of Arduino boards and Seeeduino models. The shield enables the simple connection of over 300 Grove modules.

The Base Shield V2.0 serves as an expansion board for Arduino-compatible systems for structured connection with Grove modules. It reduces the cabling effort and provides a better overview in prototype construction. Typical applications include sensor integration, serial communication, actuator control or modular electronics projects.

The main functions consist of forwarding and distributing inputs and outputs via standardised Grove sockets. These enable fast and error-free connection to compatible modules. The switchable VCC range allows operation with both 3.3 V and 5 V systems, which enables flexible use with different development boards. Thanks to the identical pinout as the Arduino Uno R3, the Base Shield V2 can be used directly on numerous boards.
