The Grove - Temperature Sensor measures the ambient temperature using an NTC thermistor of type NCP18WF104F03RC. The sensor is characterised by high environmental stability and long-term stable measurement accuracy. The temperature measurement is based on the change in resistance of the thermistor as a function of the ambient temperature. The sensor operates in the range from -40 °C to 125 °C with a measuring accuracy of ±1.5 °C. Thanks to the integrated Grove connection, the module can be integrated directly into systems such as Arduino UNO or Seeeduino. The connection is made via plug-and-play with a Grove Base.
The product is suitable for use in home automation, IoT applications, industrial process monitoring, weather data acquisition and heating and cooling systems. The precise temperature detection and stable evaluation over long periods of time make the sensor suitable for demanding environmental conditions. The electrical connection is made via a Grove interface, which means that no complex wiring is required. The sensor is equipped with a thermistor whose resistance changes with the temperature. This property is used to precisely determine the current ambient temperature. The high resistance tolerance of ±1 % and a B coefficient between 4250 and 4299 K ensure precise temperature measurement over a wide temperature range.
