Grove - Soil Moisture Sensor
The Grove - Soil Moisture Sensor effectively measures soil moisture and is ideal for gardening applications such as deciding whether plants need to be watered or automating the watering of plants. This sensor offers a low-cost, simple plug-and-play solution that is particularly suitable for students, makers and IoT developers. Two probes, which allow current to flow through the soil, determine resistance values that indicate the moisture content. As the sensor is not hardened against dirt or water exposure to the control circuit, it is only recommended for prototyping.
