With the SparkFun BME280 Atmospheric Sensor Breakout with Headers, you can easily measure air pressure, humidity and temperature without taking up much space. Basically, you can find out everything you need to know about atmospheric conditions with this little breakout. The BME280 Breakout is designed for indoor and outdoor navigation, weather forecasting, home automation and even personal health and well-being monitoring.
The integrated BME280 sensor measures atmospheric pressure from 30kPa to 110kPa as well as relative humidity and temperature. The breakout provides a 3.3V SPI interface, a 5V tolerant I2C interface (with pull-up resistors to 3.3V), measures at less than 1mA and has an open circuit of less than 5µA. The BME280 breakout board has 10 pins, of which no more than six are used simultaneously. The power, ground and I2C pins are located on the left-hand side of the board. The remaining pins, which provide the SPI functionality and have a further power supply and ground, are split on the other side.
Note: This version of the BME280 is supplied with headers already soldered on.
