Hat bei mir nicht funktioniert
Ich hatte den Adapter gekauft um eine Verbindung zu meiner Wärmepumpe herzustellen. Es hat damit aber nicht funktioniert. Ein anderer UART-USB Adapter hat dann auf Anhieb funktioniert. Ich empfehle, einen Adapter mit LEDs zu kaufen, damit man wenigstens sieht, ob eine Kommunikation stattfindet.

Verwendet Fake-IC, der von aktuellen Windows-Treibern erkannt wird (Linux OK).
Unter Linux OK.
Bei aktuellen Windows gibt es die Fehlermeldung: "PL2303HXA phased out since 2012. Please contact your supplier."
Laut https://www.mikrocontroller.net/topic/543211 ist das die Meldung, dass Windows den Fake-IC erkannt hat.
Mit alten Treibern geht's, aber die werden von Windows immer automatisch aktualisiert.
In den Produktinfos steht wahrheitsgemäß "Nicht Windows 8 / 8.1 kompatibel!", aber wer liest das schon so genau?
Und tatsächlich gilt wohl "Nicht Windows 8 und folgende kompatibel!"
