It allows your Pi to easily make a telephone call, send messages, connect to wireless Internet, global position, transfer data via Bluetooth, and so on.

Mitgelieferte Antennen sind für viele Zwecke gerade ausreichend. Externe, bessere Antennen sind in diversen Fällen notwendig.

Ungeschickt:
- das PPS-Signal wird nicht an einen der GPIO-Pins weitergereicht.
- der HAT bietet keine Möglichkeit nicht genutzte GPIO-Pins anderweitig zu nutzen.
- alle Signale gehen über einen UART-Anschluss -- sortieren muss man selber -- das kann Schwierigkeiten bereiten, wenn GPS, GSM und Bluetooth parallel genutzt werden sollen. Hier wäre es sinnvoll gewesen entweder min. zwei UART zu nutzen oder diese über einen integrierten USB-UART-Baustein getrennt zur Verfügung zu stellen (also GPS über den eingebauten UART; GSM über einen via USB angebundenen UART-Baustein)
