Adafruit PowerBoost 500
PowerBoost 500C is the perfect power supply for portable projects! With built-in battery charging circuitry, the project can continue to run even while the battery is charging. This DC/DC boost converter module can be used with any 3.7V LiIon/LiPoly battery and converts the battery output to 5.2V DC to power 5V projects. Like our popular 5V 1A USB wall adapter, we have set the output voltage to 5.2V instead of 5.0V to provide headroom for long cables and high power consumption. The 5.2V is safe for all 5V powered electronics such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi or BeagleBone and prevents voltage dips during high current consumption due to USB cable resistance.
The PowerBoost 500C has a TPS61090 boost converter from TI with features such as low voltage detection, 2A internal switch, synchronous conversion, excellent efficiency and 700KHz high frequency operation. Synchronous operation allows the output to be completely disconnected by connecting the ENable pin to ground. The low voltage indicator LED lights up red at voltages below 3.2V. On board are 500mA charging speed 'iOS' data resistors. The MicroLipo charger charges any 3.7V/4.2V LiIon or LiPoly battery with 500mA. Charging and boosting at the same time without interruption is possible. Please note that this board should only be used with a LiPoly battery connected.

Light comes into the dark with Adafruit NeoPixel

One extremely popular product line from the company's broad portfolio is Adafruit NeoPixel. These nifty LED components come in a wide variety of designs and color temperatures.
