The ATOM Matrix with a size of only 24 * 24mm is the most compact development board in the M5Stack development kit series. It offers more GPIO pins and is very suitable for the development of handy and small embedded devices. The main controller is the ESP32-PICO-D4 chip, which is equipped with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technologies and has 4MB of integrated SPI flash memory. The Atom board provides an infrared LED together with the 5 * 5 RGB LED matrix on the panel, a built-in IMU sensor (MPU6886) and a HY2.0 interface. Under the RGB LED matrix is a programmable general-purpose button that you can use to add inputs to your various projects. The built-in USB interface (Type-C) allows you to quickly upload and run programmes. There is an M2 screw hole on the back for mounting the board.

Note: If you use FastLED lib, the recommended brightness of the RGB LED is 20. Please do not set the brightness too high to avoid damage to the LED and the acrylic disc. (In the ATOM lib, we have set the corresponding brightness range to 0~100)

USB drive problems:
UnitV/M5StickV/M5StickC/ATOM do not work on some systems without a driver. Users can install the FTDI driver to solve this problem. Under Win10, for example, download the driver file that matches the operating system, decompress it and install it via the device manager. (Note: In some system environments, the driver must be installed twice for the driver to take effect. The unrecognised device name is usually M5Stack or USB Serial. Windows recommends installing the driver file directly in the device manager (custom update), the installation method with the executable file may not work properly).
