The MCU Corere 2 V1.1 is an iterative version of Core, with improved performance IC and a continuation of the classic design of Core2. It is a powerful and user-friendly development board. Core2 V1.1 is equipped with the ESP32-D0WDQ6-V3, which contains two independent Xtensa® 32-bit LX6 processors with a clock frequency of up to 240MHz. It supports WiFi functionality and has 16MB Flash and 8MB PSRAM and supports programme downloading via the TYPE-C interface. Its powerful configuration can fulfil the requirements of complex applications and has an integrated 2.0-inch capacitive touch screen and a built-in vibration motor.
Core2 V1.1 has an integrated RTC module and a dedicated battery for the RTC power supply, which enables accurate time measurement . In addition, the AXP2101 power management chip effectively controls the power consumption of the device. Core2 V1.1 also features an inbuilt blue power indicator that can be used for specific functions or status indications as required by the user . Core2 V1.1 is also equipped with a MicroSD card slot, a speaker and a high-quality I2S power amplifier chip for digital audio interfaces. A 6-axis IMU sensor and a microphone are integrated on the expansion board on the rear of the device, offering additional functions and possibilities.
The M5Core2 also has a TF card slot (microSD) and loudspeaker. However, to ensure a higher quality of sound output, the power amplifier chip of the I2S digital audio interface is used to effectively prevent signal distortion. There are independent buttons for switching on and resetting on the left side and bottom of the base.
