Seeed Grove - UV sensor (GUVA-S12SD)
The Grove - UV sensor is used to detect the intensity of incident ultraviolet (UV) radiation. It is based on the GUVA-S12D sensor, which has a broad spectral range from 240 nm to 370 nm. UV radiation is electromagnetic radiation with shorter wavelengths than visible light. The sensor measures the UV intensity and thus enables the UV index to be determined, among other things. This index is a scale for evaluating solar radiation and provides information on potential dangers to the skin and eyes as well as necessary protective measures. The UV index scale is published by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), for example, and is used to assess outdoor exposure.

The sensor offers stable operation in a wide temperature range from -30 °C to +85 °C. The high sensitivity allows fast and precise detection of UV radiation. The Grove-compatible socket enables easy integration into various microcontroller or SBC platforms. The sensor is suitable for numerous applications, including in the pharmaceutical industry, in vehicle applications, in robotics, in the printing industry and in the chemical industry for handling and processing solvents and dyes. The module is also suitable for use in the storage and transport of chemicals.

The UV sensor measures electromagnetic radiation in the UV range with high accuracy. The recorded values can be used to assess solar radiation or in industrial processes where UV exposure plays a role. The module is suitable for connection to microcontrollers via a standardised Grove interface. The power consumption is low, which supports operation in energy-efficient applications. Seeed Grove Base Shield V2.0 for Arduino The Grove Base Shield V2.0 provides an easy way to connect Arduino boards to Grove modules and replaces the use of breadboards and jumper cables. Seeed Grove - Magnetic Switch The Grove - Magnetic Switch module is a Grove-compatible magnetic switch module based on an encapsulated dry reed switch CT10. The CT10 is a single pole, single throw (SPST) switch type with normally open ruthenium contacts. Seeed Grove - Slide Potentiometer The Grove - Slide Potentiometer module integrates a linear variable resistor with a maximum resistance of 10KΩ. When the regulator is moved from one side to the other, the output voltage varies from 0 V to the applied operating voltage (Vcc). The module is connected to other Grove modules via a standardised 4-pin Grove cable. Three of the pins are connected to OUT (pin 1), Vcc (pin 3) and GND (pin 4), while the fourth pin (pin 2) is connected to a green LED on the board. The LED visually indicates the change in resistance of the potentiometer. The module uses a linear resistance curve, resulting in a smooth output of parameters to the board during adjustment. Seeed Grove - Air Quality Sensor v1.3 - Arduino Compatible The Grove - Air Quality Sensor v1.3 was developed for monitoring indoor air quality. It reacts to various slightly toxic gases such as carbon monoxide, alcohol, acetone, thinner, formaldehyde and other substances. The sensor is compatible with 5 V and 3.3 V power supplies and can be used with microcontroller platforms such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi. Due to its low power consumption and stable long-term use, the module is suitable for continuous air quality measurement. The sensitivity is based on the change in the electrical conductivity of the sensor element as a function of the gas concentration. The sensor provides qualitative measurement results for various target gases and is designed for use in households and offices, for example for air quality measuring devices, automatic air exchangers or air purifiers. The main function is the detection of slightly toxic gases in closed rooms. The module provides qualitatively usable values that can be used to control ventilation systems, for example. Seeed Grove - Magnetic Switch The Grove - Magnetic Switch module is a Grove-compatible magnetic switch module based on an encapsulated dry reed switch CT10. The CT10 is a single pole, single throw (SPST) switch type with normally open ruthenium contacts. The sensor is a bi-directional type and can be activated by an electromagnet, a permanent magnet or a combination of both. This magnetic switch module makes it possible to switch circuits on or off based on proximity. The Grove - Magnetic Switch Module is used as a proximity, safety alarm, level, flow or pulse counter sensor.
