Product information "Adafruit MIDI FeatherWing Kit"
For those who have switchedfrom DIN-5 jacks to "TRS MIDI A" 3.5mm jacks, we provide solder points for soldering in 3.5mm stereo jacks (optional and not included as standard)
We use the hardware serial pins RX and TX to send/receive data - you need to set these to 31250 baud in your programming language and then send/receive MIDI packet data. For example, here is how you would doit in Arduino or a full featured library . Here is an example of using a UART for MIDI transport in CircuitPython.
Since we are using the UART, this works with all Feathers except those with USB-to-serial converters, which use the UART pins. At the moment this means that the ESP8266 Huzzah Feather, the 328p Feather and the nRF52 Feather will not work because they use the hardware UART for programming. All other Feathers with native USB will work without any problems.
Supplied as a kit with a populated PCB to which all surface mount components are attached, with loose pin headers and two loose DIN-5 sockets. Some basic soldering is required to assemble the pin header and DIN sockets. If you want to use 3.5 mm sockets, you should instead take some continuous 3.5 mm stereo sockets and solder them in.

Light comes into the dark with Adafruit NeoPixel

With the help of an Arduino, a jumper cable and the appropriate software, you can control a NeoPixel ring individually and light up the small LEDs as you wish - either individually or in a specific combination. Adafruit Feather Boards: Powerful hardware in a compact format
With Adafruit Feather, the hardware specialist from the States also has various powerful development boards in its range, which are essentially equivalent to an Arduino in terms of function. All of these boards are equipped with similar features; among other things, the pin assignment is the same and there are also many parallels when it comes to the microcontrollers and the battery charging properties.
