The Grove - RGB LED Ring (20 - WS2813 Mini) is a full-colour LED ring with 20 intelligently controllable WS2813 Mini LEDs integrated in a 3535 component. The LEDs enable individual colour and brightness control thanks to their addressability, with each individual pixel having 256 brightness levels. A total of 16,777,216 colours are available. The LED ring supports the breakpoint resume method, in which the failure of one or more LEDs does not lead to the failure of the entire ring. Thanks to its compatibility with the Grove system, the ring can be connected directly to platforms such as Seeeduino or Arduino (with base shield) without soldering. In addition, the LED ring has cascading pads on the back, allowing multiple rings to be connected together. This enables flexible extensions, even with LED rings of different diameters.
The integrated control of the WS2813B mini LEDs allows each LED to be controlled specifically. Colour sequences, chases or individual light patterns can be created by programming. The LEDs are voltage-independent in their colour display thanks to their constant current driver. The LED ring is suitable for use in various decorative or functional applications, such as DIY electronics, stage lighting, gadgets or prototype light displays.
The LED ring can be used to add lighting accents to electronic projects, such as interactive installations, lighting elements for costumes or to realise light displays. It can be controlled in full colour, whereby each light point can be controlled independently. The internal control of the WS2813 mini LEDs makes it possible to create complex lighting effects. A voltage drop does not affect the colour consistency, as each LED has a constant current source. Thanks to its cascadability, the ring can also be integrated into larger lighting projects. Even if individual LEDs fail, the rest of the ring continues to function reliably.
The Grove - RGB LED Ring (20x WS2813 Mini) is a circular LED module with 20 full-colour LEDs that can be individually controlled. Each light point can display different colours. Each LED is controlled by an integrated control system. The ring is supplied with a Grove cable and can be connected to compatible hardware without soldering. The LEDs have a protection function against failure of individual elements. The LED ring is suitable for Arduino and other Grove-compatible microcontrollers.
